Members Organ Ramble to Ipswich

Last Saturday, 23rd July 2022, members of the Organ Society of Queensland visited St Paul’s Anglican Church, Ipswich to see, hear and play the organ originally built by J.W. Walker and Sons in 1860, and after a rebuild and extension by Pierce Pipe Organs in 2015-16, is now a large three-manual 44 stop organ.

The day started with an interesting talk about the organ by Simon Pierce, followed by Open Console for members, a tasty lunch at Heisenberg Haus, then an afternoon Recital of music by Dietrich Buxtehude, expertly played by OSQ Vice-President, Dr Ross Windsor.
