Organ Australia Magazine

The OSQ with other Organ Societies throughout Australia publishes a quarterly journal entitled Organ Australia. Usual content includes articles on various facets of organ music, descriptions of pipe organs in Australasia and elsewhere, concert reviews, CD reviews, profiles of members and other organists, news from organ builders, an editorial, organ competitions and organ-related advertisements.

Material for publication in Organ Australia is sought from members and other readers. Contributions are accepted in many forms - legible handwriting, typed, or word processed, and are to be sent to the editor by post (hard copy or disk) or as an e-mail attachment. Please contact the Queensland Coordinator David Vann (see Office Bearers Page)

Tributes

Elsie Anders (1932 - 2018)

Elsie has been a great supporter of the Organ Society as far back as the early 60s when she was for some years Treasurer.

Elsie attended many many of the Society’s events, concerts and organ rambles over the years and she always had a wealth of stories to tell and many friends to speak about, and took a keen interest in new people with musical and especially organ interests.

Bill McKelvie (1934 - 2017)

It is a privilege for me to present a tribute to one of our esteemed members, Bill McKelvie (1934-2017).

The Organ Society of Queensland was founded in 1952, and Bill joined soon after its formation. So his association with OSQ goes back over 60 years. He was on the OSQ Committee for many years and was Honorary Secretary from 1996 to 2004.
